Skegness playwright looking for actors

Local playwright Ben Peel has written a new play about a fictional meeting between Billy Butlin, Leslie Gadsby, the dare-devil high diver and Harold Davidson, the defrocked ex-Vicar of Stiffkey to be put on at a few venues this summer.

Ben wrote the play ‘Barrow’s Boys’, which was performed at Skegness Railway Station last summer during skeg.co.

He would like to audition three actors to play the different roles and at the time the play is set Billy Butlin is 37, Leslie Gadsby 25 and Harold Davidson 61 – although the actors don’t need to be those exact ages, just be able to pass for them.

Ben also intends to direct the play himself as well. If anyone is interested then please either ring him on 07505394261 or email bp1971@btinternet.com
