Skegness Lifeboat was launched yesterday afternoon to tow a fishing boat to shore.

Fishing lines had wrapped around the boat’s propeller and stranded the crew.

Adam Holmes, of Skegness Lifeboat, said the lifeboat was called out to two-and-a-half miles north of Skegness at 4.45pm and returned at 8.20pm.

He said: “We took the all-weather lifeboat out with a full crew of seven and towed the fishing boat to shore.”
