A FUNDRAISING concert in Skegness recently raised £370.
Home-Start East Lindsey would like to thank everyone who supported their first fundraising event at the Methodist Church in Algitha Road.
Louth Male Voice Choir provided the musical entertainment for the evening.
Tony Horne, Chair of Home-Start East Lindsey Trustee Board said: “We all had a fantastic evening and the musical talent was amazing in particular the young soloists Charles Jude and Gawtham Ravivaruman were outstanding.
“The feedback from our guests was that the evening was a real musical treat.
“The money raised will help us provide additional events and support for our families throughout East Lindsey so we are very grateful for all the generous donations and participation in the evening.
“We would also like to thank Algitha Road Methodist Church for hosting the event as well as Lowndes and Music Xtra for selling tickets”.
Home-Start East Lindsey has been helping local families for 12 years and currently provide support for over 100 families each year. The families who receive support may be experiencing difficulties for many different including post-natal illness, disability, bereavement, illness of a parent or child, or social isolation which may be exasperated by living in a rural area.
The Community Fundraising Committee continues working on a programme of events for 2012 including a Charity Gig, a Quiz night, a Jail Break and a Cook Book event so there is plenty to suit eveyone.
