UP TO 500 Santas will take to Skegness seafront this Sunday - all in aid of charity.

The town’s Rotarians are put final preparations in place ahead of the annual Santa’s Christmas Fun Run on Sunday, December 11.

All of those taking part will be donning Santa suits to bring a little festive cheer to the seafront.

And there is still time for you to sign up and help to raise vital cash for worthwhile local charities such as the Lincolnshire Air Ambulance.

The fun run or walk will begin at 10.30am and follow a circular route up and down Skegness seafront for a a distance of around five kilometres.

Entry is just £10 per person or £20 for a family entry of two adults and two children.

Those entering will be provided with their race number, sponsor forms and Santa suits. Details will also be given regarding car parking, the route and First Aid provisions.

To register, or for more information, contact Pat Lowe at 30 Gleneagles Drive, Skegness, PE25 1DR on 01754 611 207. Completed entry forms should be returned to Pat.

Organisers will be hoping that the cold weather forecast this week fails to materialise after last year’s biting winter temporarily postponed the fun.

Solid ice made the route too treacherous for its initial date last December, but the fun and games were eventually able to go ahead just two weeks later.
