The Rotary Club of Alford and Mablethorpe together with community partners arranged a successful late evening Fayre at Sutton on Sea, recently which drew more than a thousand visitors through its doors in just four hours.
And through Santa’s special magic, he managed to attend both Sutton and his temporary home in the attic at Alford Manor House on the same evening on Friday, December 7.
Shop and business owners contributed to the cost of the event at Sutton on Sea and enthusiastically took part.
A grant of £250 was also given from Lincolnshire County Councillor Graham Marsh to help with the event.
“Hundreds braved a cold and occasionally wet evening but still enjoyed the many stalls and side shows,” said David Black, communications officer for the Rotary club of Alford & Mablethorpe.
“Several different forms of entertainment were provided including the Withern Singers, the Salvation Army Band and Santa was kept very busy for a couple of hours,” Mr Black added.
“The Rotary Club takes this opportunity to wish all a very Merry Christmas and looks forward to helping our communities in any way we can in 2013,” explained Mr Black.
