The Rotary Club of Skegness has enlisted the help of Santa to raise some money this festive season for their Golden Ticket Children’s Theatre Project.

Under the initiative you can not only receive a letter from Santa, but also help a local disadvantaged child attend a show at the Embassy Theatre in Skegness by including a £1 donation with your Santa letter.

“Post your letter to Santa at the Santa Fun Run on Sunday, December 9 from 10am to 12noon, on Tower Esplanade, Skegness,” said a spokesperson.

“Santa’s replies can be collected from the Embassy Theatre foyer from December 15.

“One lucky letter will contain a voucher for a family of four to attend a children’s show of their choice,” they added.

Meanwhile entries are still open for this year’s Santa Fun Run. Entry is £10, and will pay for a Santa outfit for the race, a competitor’s number and a finishing medal.

Last year’s festive fun run raised over £2,600 for the Lincolnshire Air Ambulance and other Rotary charities. To register for the event and get sponsorship forms, email santafunrun.skegness@gmail.com or go to www.skegnessrotary.org.uk/SantasFunRun/entry.
