RNLI kept busy with call-outs

LIFEBOAT crews were called into action when two children were thought to be in the water at Chapel St Leonards on Monday.

The team leapt into action at around 12.40pm and responded to the incident in Trunch Lane, but on arrival, the pair had been pulled to safety by a member of the public and they had left the beach. Moments later, a call was again made asking them to attend Ingoldmells Point, where three people in an inflatable were in trouble. But the group had been pulled to safety on their arrival.
