RECENT NOSTALGIA: Mock Tudor float reigns at carnival
In 2004 Burgh Carnival brought back the fancy dress float tour and although there were only three they brought lots of fun and colour to the event held in the market place, writes photographer Ben Hardaker.
After the judging there were the usual attractions on Tinkers Green for the rest of the afternoon.
Pictured is the winning float – from AC Burgh FC depicting Henry VIII (Robert Barlow) and five of his wives. Sam Jordan the executioner dispatched the sixth one before they even got on the road for the tour of the village!
