CHILDREN at Toynton All Saints Primary School got the chance to learn and experience what life might have been like for a Roman.
The pupils listened to talks, stories and what life was like by a Roman Centurion who came into school.
A demonstration was then held in the playground to show the children how The Romans would have fought during battles and also some of the equipment they would have used.
“The children all found it very interesting, listening to the stories and what life would have been like. It was a good chance for them to see some of the things they had been learning about during the term,” said a school spokesperson.
Pupils from years three, four, five and six took part in the day.
