Staff and pupils at King Edward VI Academy, in Spilsby, recently enjoyed a visit to London’s Royal Opera House.

The trip to Kenneth MacMillon’s acclaimed ballet Manon at the Covent Garden venue was made possible thanks to The Taylor Family Foundation and the David Ross Education Trust.

It is the school’s second outing to Covent Garden this year.

Margaret Reeve, principal, said: “Students are now asking to visit the ballet again and again, such is their appreciation of the performances we have been lucky enough to enjoy.

“We are very grateful for the opportunity to visit such a prestigious venue.”
