Plaudits for the stroke unit at Boston’s Pilgrim Hospital were sounded at a meeting in Skegness.

“The staff couldn’t be more caring and professional. They are exceptional - just like in Skegness,” declared Skegness Hospital Watch, Eddie Gasson, who recently went on a fact-finding walkabout.

The watchdog group unanimously agreed to donate £2,400 from the £4,857 currently in its coffers towards the cost of buying six computer tablets to enhance IT communication and record-keeping at the unit, some of whose patients come from Skegness.
