A PERFECT driving test has been celebrated by a student and his instructor, who were both surprised and delighted to see such a rarely achieved result.

Tibetan born Ngodup Phuntsok breezed through his test in Skegness last Tuesday without incurring a single minor fault.

He said: “I was very pleased to pass my test with no minors, I just tried to stay calm and concentrate on what my instructor had said.”

Ngodup has been living in Skegness for the past two years working as a waiter at the Royal Hotel on Drummond Road.

He took lessons at Sean Pidgeons’s Fast Lane Driving School who was surprised to see such a flawless test after just 15 lessons.

Sean said: “I’ve been doing this job for 12 years and this is only the second time it’s happened.”

“He kept himself really calm which is the secret of any test - you’ve got to stay on top of your nerves.”

With his license taken care of Ngodup now plans to save up for a car of his own to get out on the open road.

Sean’s advice to students learning to drive and looking to follow in the perfect tyre tracks of Ngodup is to persevere.

He said: “Sometimes when you are learning to drive it can be quite frustrating, but if you stick with it you will get there in the end.”
