SEVERAL groups and facilities have received a share of a £1,475 cash pot.
Four groups dotted around the local catchment area received three-figure donations in the latest round of grants under the Councillors’ Community Initiative Scheme.
Biggest local winner was the recently formed Sibsey Short Mat Bowls Club, which received £700 from Coun Rick Harvey to help it purchase equipment.
Elsewhere the Alford Civic Trust received £350 from Coun Jean Bradley to purchase a rotary mower for cutting grass and lawns at Alford Manor House.
Chapel St Leonards Parish Council received two grants - both from Coun Phil Leivers.
It received £200 to help replace a damaged parish office window.
The parish council was also given £125 to help as a donation towards the Chapel Primary School and Parish Council partnership. The money will supply wood stakes, panels, paint and a Christmas tree.
The Community Initiative Scheme sees each councillor in the district given a small allocation of grant funding. They then allocate it as they see fit.
