The county council has been announced as a member of the Greater Lincolnshire partnership for Talent Match, a Big Lottery Fund initiative that will help local 18 to 24 year-olds who have been out of work for more than 12 months.

Led by the Prince’s Trust, the partnership has been awarded £1.1 million to engage, inspire and support those who are furthest from the labour market, focusing on four areas with high unemployment - Boston, Skegness, Lincoln and Gainsborough.

Councillor Patricia Bradwell, said: “The council already provides a lot of support to young people who are not in education, employment or training. We’ll be working with our partners to find the best ways to support people to boost their confidence and skills, and support them back into the workplace.”
