Police appeal after spate of burglaries in Skegness

Police are investigating a spate of burglaries in Skegness.

The night-time burglaries have taken place between July 20 and September 20 at dwellings in the Wainfleet Road and Dorothy Avenue area of the town.

There was also a commercial burglary at Skegness District Hospital.

Items stolen have mainly been electrical goods, including 40ins and 32ins televisions, portable DVDs, laptops, blue ray players, and a Kindle. Additionally, DVDs, musical equipment, harmonicas, jewellery and money have also been stolen.

Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone who may have appeared to be acting suspiciously. We are urging people to call police if they see any unusual activity during the hours of darkness, or unknown day time visitors.

In total, there have been five offences in Dorothy Avenue, and three in Wainfleet Road.
