On this day last year Skegness and the east coast was preparing itself for a storm surge.
No-one knew the extent of the damage likely to be caused, however, high risk and severe weather warnings were in place.
As high tide approached in Skegness, by around 5pm, even before it was due, it was clear the seaside resort and businesses on the sea front were in for a rough night.
Skegness did however escape from the worst flooding, with nearby Boston seeing 45 streets and 800 homes affected by the flooding.
