FRISKNEY man Frank Taylor passed away peacefully in Boston’s Pilgrim Hospital shortly before Christmas.

He was 82.

A retired mechanical engineer he is survived by his wife Gill, children Russell and Helen, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mr Taylor was born and lived in Wrangle for the first two years of his life, before moving to Friskney where he spent the following 80 years.

He served as a sergeant in REME.

He was a member of the Royal British Legion, the REME Association, the Oil Eingine Club, the Vintage Tractor Club and was an active figure in campaigning and fundraising for DOCATEF.

His funeral was held at Friskney All Saints Parish Church in January.

Family mourners present for the service include wife Gill, son Russell and partner Jacqui, daughter Helen and husband Andy, grandchildren Katie and Ben with partner Kelly, brother Alan and sister-in-law Margaret, brother-in-law John and wife Dorothy and much love nephews and nieces.

The Reverend Andrew Higginson presided over the service, and Parkers were the funeral directors.
