Numbers come up for charity

A weekly charity raffle at the Skegness Social Liberal Club raised £2933 for the Derbyshire Childrens Holiday Centre.

Funds were raised over the course of the year from the Saturday night raffle at the club on Lumley Road.

The centre was established in 1891 to provide disadvantaged Derbyshire children with holidays in Skegness, At present it provides 450 summer holiday places.

The donation was presented to holiday centre manager Ali Byerley by club committee member Jean Lambert and secretary Joyce Langworth.
