SKEGNESS Ladies’ Probus Club president Sue Sharman handed over her Chain of Office to successor Coral Collins at the group’s Changeover Lunch in the Vine Hotel recently.

Pam Powell has become vice-president.

Sue thanked Marica McDonald for organising a recent trip to Ely Cathedral before thanking the committee for its hard work during her time in office.

She welcomed Linda Fisher to the committee before new president Coral Collins presented Sue with a necklace in appreciation of her year.

After lunch Misty Culpin MBE entertained with tales of her 30 years in the police. She started as a dog handler before working towards promotion as sergeant. Her job saw her do everything from guard Russian ships in Portsmouth to work with crash crews at Air Shows. She was even an extra in ITV’s London’s Burning.

The next meeting is on July 26 when David Harris will discuss the Derbyshire Children’s Home.
