Police will be taking part in a special operation on April 14 and 15, focusing on all aspects of their work, including dealing with vagrants, dog fouling and cycling on the pavements.

Coast Inspector Colin Haigh made the announcement at the meeting of Skegness Town Council. The operation comes as Lincolnshire Police received an overall ‘Good’ grading in a HMIC report for each of the pillars of PEEL – efficiency, effectiveness and legitimacy.

Coun David Cargill had asked the inspector if new CCTV viewing equipment installed at Skegness Police Station was making their job easier and aiding more efficient use of manpower.

Insp Haigh said: “It has definitely resulted in a more efficient use of resources now officers to not have to go to Boston to deal with images.”
