Meeting to discuss caravan developments

A public meeting is being held in Chapel St Leonards to consider local caravan developments.

The special meeting on Monday, November 16, will give residents the opportunity to learn more about the approach towards planning applications for new caravan sites and extensions.

East Lindsey District Council was requested to arrange the event at a Skegness Area Committee meeting in July.

The council will also explain its role as local planning authority, the National Planning Policy Framework and the Localism Act and what the act means for local people in terms of planning.

The chairman of the meeting will be the council’s portfolio holder for planning Coun Richard Fry.

Individual planning applications currently being considered will not be discussed. The meting will take place at Chapel Community Hall from 7pm.

Questions should be submitted by October 30. Receiving the questions in advance will mean the council is able to ensure presentations cover areas of questioning and enable those who are not comfortable speaking in public to have their questions answered.

The questions submitted will be answered on the evening alongside an opportunity for other questions from those attending.
