PLANS to replace the worn windows at the Franklin Hall in Spilsby received a welcome cash boost last week, thanks to two local groups.

The campaign to replace the windows in the listed building received £2,750 thanks to donations from Spilsby Town Council (£2,000) and the local Shakespeare Masons.

Spilsby Town Mayor Michael Lenton said: “The Franklin Hall Committee has worked extremely hard to get the money so far and receive the grants needed to help pay for the new windows.

“The Franklin Hall is a brilliant facility and has very, very competitive rates.

“The new windows will be so much better aesthetically than the old ones, which are beginning to look a little tired.

“The windows will be great, because the hall is on a main road and you only ever get one chance to make a good first impression.”
