A Gainsborough man is training for a marathon walk this September to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society.

Simon Forrest, 56, has worked with people suffering from dementia as a psychiatric nurse and NHS manager. Now a life insurance manager at Lloyds Banking Group, he was thrilled when the Alzheimer’s Society was chosen as the group’s charity of the year.

“I’m so proud my colleagues a voted for Alzheimer’s Society as their charity of the year,” he said.

“I’m looking forward to meeting people and finding out their stories.”
