Two of the younger members of Alford Silver Band are celebrating after succeeding in recent Associated Boards of Music examinations.
Thirteen-year-old Kira Roberts, of Huttoft (pictured with her certificate), gained a distinction in her grade 3 euphonium exam, and 11 year old Phoebe Willey, of Beesby, was successful in passing her grade 4 cornet examination.
Kira and Phoebe are the latest pair to gain success after starting as trainees and working to progress into the main band.
Band chairman Martin Briggs said: “Alford Silver Band has an excellent reputation for helping youngsters to gain music qualifications. We take players of all ages and skill levels, start them off at whatever level is appropriate and then help them to progress.”
