Wednesday, 1.30pm - YOUNG man, there's no need to feel down, despite one of the YMCA's two stores in Skegness closing on Saturday.
The store at 82 Lumley Road, the former Peter's newsagent, will close on Saturday, but the good news is no jobs will be lost as the charity's other store, at 54-56 Lumley Road, will remain open.
The YMCA is a leading Christian charity committed to supporting young people, particularly in times of need and funds raised by the stores are used to provide hostels for the homeless.
The charity had been trading from two stores since April due to increased demand but a closing down sale was launched earlier this week.
Clare Parsons, acting manager at the YMCA store at 54-56 Lumley Road, told the Standard she could not disclose the reasons for closure but said the charity is seeking new premises in the town.
She added: "It is not a permanent closure and there will be no paid or voluntary job losses."
