When police searched a Wainfleet man on Roman Bank, they found heroin and cocaine in his possession as well as a cheque and identification belonging to someone else, a court heard this week.
Stephen Harry Bartholomew, 38, of Barton Road, admitted possessing 0.11 grammes of heroin and 0.08 grammes of cocaine on Roman Bank on July 22 last year and also to theft of the cheque and identification when he appeared before District Judge John Stobart sitting at Skegness Magistrates’ Court.
The court heard that Batholomew was stopped by police who found the drugs on him as well as the cheque and various identification documents, which had belonged to a Hannah Nichols, which he admitted to having acquired at some time to use to purchase more drugs.
Mark Hudson, mitigating, told the judge that Batholomew had previous convictions for theft and drug offences and wanted help with his drug usage.
The judge adjourned the case for sentence and ordered a report from Addaction, the drug rehabilitation organisation.
