Video: Snow blankets Skegness beach

Waiting for Video...

Our latest video of the Beast from the East’s snowy scenes features a very ‘bracing’ looking Skegness beach, far removed from the sunny tourist hotspot of the summer months.

Sunday’s heavy overnight snowfall transformed Skegness beach into a winter wonderland on Monday morning.

There were occasional snow showers on Monday, but overall things have remained dry but cold in the hours since the weekend’s snows.

Forecasters predict the cold snap will last at least until the weekend, with a further risk of snow showers.

For more coverage from the snowfall, and a selection of reader photos, go to the Standard’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/skegness.standard

And keep your eyes peeled to our website for all the latest on the cold snap as it continues to develop.
