VIDEO: A nation remembers...

Waiting for Video...

People in towns and villages across the local area stopped at 11am this morning (Sunday) to mark the country’s annual Remembrance Day services.

Virtually every local town and village held their own services to mark the country’s war fallen for Armistice Day.

Our video shows the Remembrance Day parade in Skegness ahead of the memorial service in St Matthew’s Church and the laying of wreaths.

Pick up this week’s Standard (November 14th edition) for photos from Remembrance Day services across the area.

“They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:

“Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.

“At the going down of the sun and in the morning,

“We will remember them.”
