10.45am: THE NINETEEN-year-old man who was killed in a car crash at West Fen, Stickney in the early hours of this morning (Thursday) was from Revesby.

At around 1.22am the police responded to reports that a silver Vauxhall Corsa had left the road.

The vehicle had entered a ditch and collided with some trees.

“A 19-year-old local man was certified as deceased at the scene,” said a police spokesperson.

“Another 19-year-old local man from the vehicle was arrested in connection with the crash. He is not thought to be seriously injured,” they added.

The road was shut for several hours while officers investigated the scene of the crash.

The police have appealed for any witnesses to the crash or anyone who saw the Vauxhall Corsa prior to the incident to contact them via the Lincolnshire Police Collision Witness Hotline 01522 558855.
