UPDATE: Morrisons store in Skegness re-opens following ‘hoax’ bomb scare

A woman from Skegness has been arrested in connection with making the hoax call to police.

 

Morrisons supermarket on Wainfleet Road in Skegness has re-opened after police declared a hoax bomb scare forced it to close.

The incident began with a telephone call to the police at 11:48am today (Wednesday, July, 30).

The caller stated that there was an explosive device in the store.

After discussions with the police Morrisons decided to evacuate the store.

The premises were then searched by staff and the police and Nothing untoward was discovered and re-opened at 2pm.

The call is being treated as a hoax and an investigation has begun in an effort to identify the culprit
