A police spokesperson said: “Lincolnshire Police would like to thank the public and the media for their assistance.”

Police are continuing their appeal for information on the whereabouts of a woman who was last seen in Louth almost 24 hours ago.

As reported previously, the woman was last seen around the Meridian Leisure Centre yesterday (Thursday April 21) shortly before midday.

The woman, thought to be in her early 20s, was wearing black leggings, a red jumper round her waist, white converse shoes, red bobble hat, black hooded top with a white motif on the front with an over shoulder bag which featured a Batman logo.

Police officers are today continuing their search, and there is a still a high level of concern for her welfare.

Contrary to rumours on social media, at the time of writing (11.05 am on April 22), the woman has not yet been found or identified.
