UPDATE: Local men in twenties involved in Skegness road traffic collision

Police and two fire engines from Skegness attended a two vehicle road traffic collision (RTC) in Skegness this morning.

Police were called to the incident at 11.25am, where the collision took place at the junction of Ida Road and Lumley Road.

The incident involved a Vauxhall Astra and a VW Caddy.

The Vauxhall Astra collided with a wall outside the Sunnybank Hotel on Ida Road and Linconshire Fire and Rescue released one person from the Astra using hydraulic equipment.

Police have confirmed that the driver of the Vauxhall Astra is a 21-year-old man from Anderby Creek and his passenger was a 22-year-old man from Skegness.

As yet there are no details as towho was in the VW Caddy.

Police logs have not been completely updated about whether anyone involved required medical treatment.
