Town council to take Pier Fields?
AN EMERGENCY parking site in Skegness could be utilised for leisure purposes under plans suggested by a town councillor.
Coun Phil Kemp would like Skegness Town Council to take Pier Fields from the district council to bring ‘better use’ from it.
He believes the Earl Of Scarborough placed a covenant on the land stating it must be used for leisure purposes when he gave it to the people of Skegness. The suggestion will be discussed at the next liaison meeting between the two councils.
