A major road has reopened allowing for traffic to run as usual along the repaired A52 stretch from Addlethorpe to Chapel St Leonards.
Previously, the county council highway’s team had thought work might take until Friday to repair but the road was reopened yesterday afternoon (Wednesday) as initially planned.
Vic Sleaford, Senior Highways Officer, said: “Repairs to the A52 progressed very well indeed and we were able to complete our work yesterday afternoon, ahead of schedule.
“Because of the efforts of our workforce, we were able to allow limited bus access through the site on all three days.”
A reduced bus service ran through the site and even through the proposed whole day closure yesterday (Wednesday).
Dave Skepper, commercial director for Stagecoach East Midlands, confirmed it was ‘back to a normal service’ today as planned.
