A local artist will be raising funds for the Skegness Lifeboat Station at an exhibition of his works at the Embassy Theatre, Skegness, on February 14.
‘Colour Sketches of Skegness’ by local artist Malcolm Tait will be showcased at ‘The Bigger picture’ event and a series of larger colour sketches of places, events and institutions at the heart of Skegness life will also feature.
The official opening of the exhibition will begin at 6pm at the Embassy Theatre Gallery Space.
The project is aimed at promoting the Evening Gallery Space at the Embassy Theatre and to raise funds for the Skegness Lifeboat Station.
Funds will be raised in two ways. Firstly, prints of each of the works will be made, and a set amount from each print will go to lifeboat funds.
Secondly, during the exhibition, which runs from February 14 to April 6, all the works will be for sale by sealed bids.
There is no reserve on any of the works, so you could bag yourself a real bargain.
Seventy per cent of the money raised will go to the Skegness Lifeboat and 30 per cent to the Evening Gallery Space, to fund future projects.

“Do come along and have a look, and if you can support the project financially, great, but these are difficult financial times and if you can encourage friends to come and have a look, that helps a great deal to develop the project. Thank you for your support”, said Malcolm.
