Still time to design new Switch-On logo

THERE is still time to get your thinking caps on and design a fabulous logo for this year’s Switch On event in August.

You have until February 27 to get your stunning art work in for your chance to be considered the winner.

This fantastic opportunity has been brought to our readers this year by, SECWHA, (Skegness, East Coast, Wolds, Hotelier Association) and your Standard.

The logo will be used on all the promotional materials, not only for the 2012 event but for future years to come so this really is your chance to shine!

All you need to do at this stage, is send in your completed artwork on an A4 sheet of card or paper by February 27.

And If you’re looking for inspiration, think about all the things that Skegness has to offer and those that make the great British seaside holiday, so fantastic.

The winner will then be contacted by the design team to progress their logo further and help make that design stamp itself in history.

A wide variety of entertainment for the entire family will be on offer during the afternoon and into the evening at the illumination ‘Switch On’ event taking place on August 4.

And as darkness falls, the skies will explode with fireworks and the much loved illuminations will shine out for all to see.

Last year, everyone in Skegness was treated to the delights of Britain’s Got Talent star, Stavros Flatley and this summer, organisers are hoping to really push the boat out with a celebrity which is sure to get everyone dancing.

The event is led by SECWHA, working in partnership with East Lindsey District Council, The Pier, Grand Central, Botton’s Pleasure Beach, Skegness and District Chamber of Commerce, Skegness Town Partnership, and Skegness Town Council.

All entries should be submitted to Tammy Jones, SECWHA, Town Hall, North Parade, Skegness, PE25 1DA by February 27.

Entries received after this date will not be accepted.

Entries will only be accepted from the general public, entries from businesses or traders will not be accepted.
