A whole host of festive spirited businesses, dignitaries and the Skegness Carnival Committee rallied together to provide a wonderful Christmas for a group disadvantaged children holidaying in the town.
The Skegness Carnival committee along with the Queen and Princess arranged for the 14 children staying at the Derbyshire Children’s Holiday Centre to visit Santa, collect presents at the grotto in the Hildreds Shopping Centre just before Christmas.
The presents were made up from donations from the Mayor of Skegness Coun Jim Carpenter, Hildreds’ centre manager Pete Roffe, Nicola’s Nursery World and the Carnival Committee.
A photo was given to the children from Wrate’s Photography also free of charge.
“A big thank you goes to Claire’s Accessories for allowing the girls to enjoy some glitter in the shop,” said a spokesperson for the carnival committee.
