Skegness’s biggest fry-up?: Could you take on this monster sized meal?

Waiting for Video...

A family-run cafe in Skegness challenged its first diner to scoff down a mega breakfast this morning.

Steve Wilson took on the £15 challenge at Windy’s Cafe, Drummond Road, and faced a mighty plate of tasty fried food.

He had just 45 minutes to attempt to wolf down the over 6,000 calorie laden plate which was filled with; 12 bacon, 12 sausages, six eggs, five black pudding, four slices of bread and butter, four toast, four fried bread, four hash browns, a four egg and cheese mixed omelette, sautéed potatoes, mushrooms, beans and tomatoes.

After just 10 minutes, Steve said he was feeling ‘quite full’ and there seemed to be ‘no space clearing’ on his plate.

Cafe Owner Paul Windle is challenging others to come an try the mega breakfast and they managed to eat it, they won’t be charged.

Plus £2 will be put in a pot and the person who finally manages to do it, will win all the money in it.

Paul said: “It’s a bit of fun and we should put Skegness on the map.”

“I’d love to try for a World Record attempt some time this year.”

- Did Steve manage to do it? Find out in next Wednesday’s edition.
