Skegness’s Air Training Corps (Squadron 1073) have recently received a donation from the Wainfleet Charitable Fund.
The funds will go towards the purchase of laptop computers and the squadron would like to say thank you to Michael Worth.
The laptops are needed as the Cadets have to take exams, which are now done online.
1073 (Skegness) Squadron Air Training Corps is an organisation for boys and girls between 13 and 18.
Cadets are offered many varied opportunities such as flying and gliding, sports, attending camps, and undertaking both Duke of Edinburgh Award and BTEC qualifications.
As the Air Training Corps raise Their own funds, it is always looking for volunteers to help on various fund raising activities.
These volunteers form the Civilian Welfare Committee, a group of Cadet family members and anyone else interested in contributing to the success of their local ATC.
The Annual General Meeting of the Civilian Welfare Committee and a presentation of cadet achievements will be held on Friday, May, 2, starting at 7pm at Squadron Headquarters, Churchill Avenue, Skegness, PE25 2RN (opposite the Fire Station).
If anyone is interested in joining the Committee or know a young person who might wish to become a Cadet, telephone the squadron on 01754 612475 on Tuesday or Friday evenings between 7pm and 9pm.
