DC Phil Graves, of Skegness CID, is appealing for witnesses to an assault in the town.
The incident happened around 11.50pm on Tuesday, May 13 as the 50 year-old victim complainant left The Stumble Inn, on Lumley Road, where he had been drinking with friends.
Whilst on High Street, near to Harris Amusements, the victim was struck by an unknown person from behind causing him to fall to the ground.
He was then punched in the face and kicked to the ribs and right shoulder, resulting in a broken collar bone.
The suspect had dark hair and is believed to have spoken with a Scottish accent.
Any witnesses to the incident are asked to contact Lincolnshire Police.
In particular, it is thought that a man wearing a National Coal Board donkey jacket, walking his dog, was in the area at the time and may be an important witness.
Also, a silver small hatchback vehicle was seen to stop at the scene after possibly leaving Skegness Working Men’s Club, Briar Way.
Police ask the owner/driver of the vehicle to contact Police as they maybe a witness.
