A 23-year-old man from Skegness has been charged with the robbery of Michael Broxholme in Lincoln on June 27.
Anthony Robertson, of Grosvenor Road in Skegness was arrested yesterday and charged in the early hours of this morning (Wednesday July 23) with robbery.
He has been remanded in custody to appear at Boston Magistrates’ Court today.
Mr Broxholme, 69, was pushed to the ground and robbed during the early evening of Friday, June 27, in Hermit Street, Lincoln. He was taken to Lincoln County Hospital but sadly died the following evening.
A Home Office post mortem has been carried out but was inconclusive.
Police are waiting for a second post mortem.
At this stage the cause of death remains unascertained and further tests are being undertaken.
The case has been sent to Lincoln Crown Court to be heard on August 4.
