Visiting and supporting local shops means not only will you find original items of great value but you will be helping money go back into the local economy, says a Skegness businessman.
Darren Dee of Dee’s Convenience Stores carries the Premier Stores banner above his two Skegness shops. He buys local for those who shop local and he offers a community service to his customers too.
He said: “We sell to local people and then we restock and buy from local suppliers so the money stays very much in the local area, unlike the big multi-national superstores.
“We know everyone by their first name and they know us and its not unusual to chat with customers over a cuppa who see local shops like ours as not just a place to buy groceries but somewhere they can get together with other members of the community.”
Local shops like Darren’s go the extra mile to help customers and give them the best deal they can along with the best service which includes delivery. They stock the top 100 products and seek out new and original goods to offer too. In addition, the store raises cash for charities and shows that shopping locally can help communities.
