A local woman has announced plans for a charity bash in aid of the Stroke Association in memory of her popular and well-known gran in the tenth anniversary year of her death.
Shan Chapman will host the three-course meal and champagne reception in the Suncatle on Saturday, March 8 from 7pm to late, to honour the memory of Pat Fountain.
A hog roast, live band and other entertainment is also lined up for the evening.
And Shan’s fundraising won’t be stopping there - she is currently in training for the London Marathon on April 13 - again in aid of the Stroke Association in memory of her gran.
Shan’s gran Pat was well-known locally for her work as a coach in a number of sports, from athletics and swimming to netball.
Shan said: “I’m raising money for the Stroke Association, all in memory of my gran. “he was well known as a swimming coach, and also coached Skegness runners and the Abbey Angels netball team.
“It’s the ten year anniversary of her passing. I want everyone to come to the charity bash and have a really good time and remember my gran. She used to love the Suncastle parties when we were younger,” she added. To buy tickets for the ball call Shan on 07786 403 362 or The Quorn Hotel on 01754 763 508. You can also visit the Suncastle, Coffee Point, Fresh Fitness Gym, Alexander’s Flowers or the Hair Boutique.
