Save the Children ball hopes to top £3,000

A CHARITY ball which last year raised more than £3,000 to help impoverished children is due to return, hoping to raise even more for the cause.

The Save the Children Charity Ball featuring a three course meal, live music and a ‘brilliant’ prize raffle is taking place at Southview Park Hotel on Saturday, October 13.

Firsby resident Leanne Morgan, who is organising the event with her husband Nick, hopes to build on the phenomenal success of last year’s event.

She said: “Save the Children do some amazing work in this country and in disaster-stricken areas across the globe

“Last year more than 200 people attended and we were chuffed to bits to have raised £3,000 for the charity and we thought it would be stunning if we could beat that total.”

The event begins at 7pm and tickets cost £35, which includes a three course meal and live music.

There is also a chance to win a fantastic 4X4 experience, go-karting and much more in the prize raffle.

For tickets, call Leanne on 07867 764564.
