The Skegness Santa Fun Run will go ahead as planned this weekend - despite last week’s tidal surge damaging part of the original course.
Parts of the beach path are cordoned off after being ripped up by the surge.
But The Rotary Club of Skegness charity fundraiser will still take place around a slightly revised route on Sunday at 10.30am, and you can even register on the day at 10am.
Over 250 Santa suited entrants are expected to complete the course around the Skegness seafront, starting and finishing next to the Lifeboat Station on Tower Esplanade.
The Santa suits are supplied to entrants as part of the £10 entry fee along with a number and commemorative medal at the end.
The event is in aid of local charities that the Rotary supports, including the air ambulance. Sponsorship forms are available for entrants wishing to raise additional donations for these charities.
“It’s an enjoyable Sunday morning event which attracts young and old, runners and walkers and even the occasional sleigh dog takes part,” said a spokesperson for the local Rotarians.
More information and entry forms can be found at www.SkegnessSantasFunRun.org.uk or email the Santa Fun Run Secretary at email@example.com.
