Rescue dogs appeal

Keith’s Rescue Dogs charity has issued a message for Christmas.

They would like to thank everyone who has supported the charity throughout 2012.

It exists through the hard work of a small team of volunteers with integrity and kind donations from the public - winter and Christmas in particular are the hardest times of year.

“We are already collecting donated items in preparation for next year’s fundraising”, said a spokesperson.

“If any readers find themselves with Christmas gifts they know they won’t use, but think could be sold, please consider donating them to the charity shop in Spilsby – one man’s rubbish is another man’s treasure,” they added.

Keith’s Rescue Dogs, like many other animal charities ,has a policy of no re-homing from December 12th to January 2nd, to avoid the ‘Christmas Present’ scenario, which means that the kennels are backed up and enter the new year in a desperate situation.

If you would like to offer a rescue dog a home, please call 01754 763543 in the New Year.
