Hildreds Shopping Centre in Lumley Road is hosting the joint venture by Skegness PCSOs and road policing officers, Skegness Fire Station and Bush Tyres tomorrow.

PSCO Michelle Collins popped to see the Skegness Standard at the second day of the annual Caterex Trade Show.

She said: “Staying Alive an informal event with a strong message and we will be asking residents ‘how are you getting home tonight?’.

“The 2Fast2Soon simulator will be there to give people a crash experience in a safe environment.

“Our road policing officers will be there, Skegness Fire Station crew is taking an engine along and Bush Tyres will be offering advice on tyre safety.

“We are trying to get over the message that if you respect the roads, they will respect you.”

The event takes place outside Hildreds Shopping Centre from 10am to 2pm.

Next year’s Caterex Trade Show was being planned even before the exhibitors had shut up shop at the Richmond Holiday Centre after two days of trading.

June Howard, business development manager at Skegness East Coast and Wolds Hospitality Association (SECWHA), said: “We’ve had lots of positive feedback – traders have had lots of orders and leads and we already have bookings for next year.

“We’ll now look at the feedback and see how we can give visitors and exhibitors an even better experience.”
