Mums with pushchairs, sprightly pensioners, toddlers and even a cuddly bear completed a circuit at Jack’s Run to Remember.
Leading the way were Jack Covill-Lowndes and friends at the charity event held in memory of mum Stephanie. The event raised £1,400 for Saint Barnabas Hospice in Lincoln where Stephanie spent her final days. Jack, 11, has now raised several thousand pounds for the hospice with the help of guardians Tamara and Steve Lowndes. Around 140 supporters took part, including hospice mascot Barnabas Bear.
St Barnabas event and community fundraiser Chris Fox said: “Jack is an inspiration to us all. What he has achieved raising thousands in memory of his mum is amazing.”
