A pensioners’ social group marked a major milestone in its history with a ‘fantastic’ celebration in Skegness recently.
The Skegness Civil Service Pensioners Group held its 37th anniversary party at the community hall on Church Road South with an afternoon of tea, cakes and conversation.
Group member Kevin Horrigan said: “It was a fantastic event - the group don’t get a lot of publicity but they do a lot to help other pensioners in the community so it was nice to celebrate the anniversary together.”
The group meets monthly at the community hall for a social get together and also hosts regular festivities for other pensioners in Skegness, including a very popular Christmas lunch at the Welcome Inn.
If you are interested in joining the group contact Mr Horrigan on 01754 766918.
