Last year they raised £490 towards the total - so this year the charity is appealing for even more to get involved with the 2016 event to help vulnerable children.

Amanda Warrant, Barnardo’s fundraising manager, said: “We’re really grateful for the great support we’ve had from Skegness toddlers and their families over the years.

“The event is a lovely opportunity for everyone to enjoy themselves and help raise vital funds for vulnerable children at the same time.

Money raised goes to our work in the local area with children and young people, such as those who live in poverty or who have a disability.”

This years Big Toddle takes place from June 20-26 -with 2016 also being the the charity’s 150th anniversary.

Last year saw staff, children and parents dressed as pirates - but this year the theme is animals.

Since the Big Toddle started in 1997 it has raised more than £14 million.
